I initially began offering Psychodrama Structures retreats because I was approached: if I get some friends together, could you please lead this work for us?
Five people came together and I invited four people. We now had a retreat!
The dominant perspective is that there is safety in anonymity. What I learned is that our most powerful work can happen when held within the safety of community.
To have our beloved friends, partners, or colleagues hold space for, play roles in, and witness our work builds community. (Caveat: your partner is only allowed to witness your work, not participate in roles.) And these pre-existing relationships also increase post-retreat integration: the shared experience allows for shared post-retreat processing and integration.
