Liberation Psychology is a nine-month participatory, interactive immersion designed for practitioners ready to engage in healing work that addresses the actual scope of our current polycrises.
We recognize that mainstream Western psychotherapeutic approaches frequently individualize and pathologize human experience, obscuring the profound impact of systemic oppression, colonization, and historical trauma. We understand that the clinical hour is often too small a territory for the needed healing; we cannot merely treat symptoms while ignoring the systems that generate them. Grounded in foundational insights into the psychopathology of colonialism and how its legacy lives in the psyche, this nine-month journey offers a rigorous immersion into the frameworks of Liberation Psychology and decolonial therapy.
Who Is This For
This course is for anyone who serves healing.
You are the therapist bumping up against the edges of your training. You are the community organizer who knows the meeting is not enough. You are the healer, teacher, elder, artist, doula, or the neighbor who has become the person everyone calls. You are anyone who has sat with someone’s suffering and felt that the situation requires a bigger container.
If you work in therapy, somatics, social work, education, spiritual care, organizing, or cultural work, this is for you. If you do not have a title but healing moves through you anyway, this is also for you.
We invite those seeking frameworks that move beyond individual pathology and toward culturally rooted, relational, and justice-centered approaches to healing.
